I did it and it's really good! Although here are some tips and mistakes that you can avoid:

1. Using a pan that sticks is okay, but soak your pan in warm water directly after you're done cooking your caramel. (NOTE: hot water can be harmful for the pan, so warm is better)
2. Once you start cooking the caramel, it goes REALLY fast, so make sure your ingredients are already prepared so that you can just dump them when the time comes.
3. I first cooked 3 pieces of bread but it was way too much. Not only I couldn't eat all of it (I was full after around 10 bites) but there wasn't enough caramel for the bread. Plus, you it becomes soft the next day, so it's kinda gross. I'd recommend only cooking 2 slices of bread.
4. I'd take the pan off the fire when it's time to pour the bread in to avoid burning the caramel
