This is a great recipe! I just made this for easter as a side cake - the main one was strawberry mascarpone cake. I didn't write on it anything, decorated it with tiny chocolate eggs instead.
For anyone out there who is diabetic or would like to lower the carbohydrate content in this: recipe works with eritrit-stevia mix just as beautifully, both sponge, syrup and cream. In the sponge use whole grain wheat. For the ganache use fructose sweetened chocolate, or if you can afford it a stevia sweetened variety.
Also if you'd like to spend a little less time on it: make a third more of the ganache, keep it warm, use it as glace at the end. I know it's not the same, but there's not much difference, neither in looks or taste.

So I made this. I almost had a heart attack. So many things went wrong. But it turned out beautifully! Granted I only ended up with 4 slices instead of 6, but it was worth it in the end! I don’t recommend if u don’t want to spend 3-4 hours in the kitchen struggling

I made this cake this evening.
It is a bit "needy", a lot of washing up, but worth the effort. Whoever loves to make sweets will certainly enjoy it. I did at least.
All the amounts of ingredients were perfect.
Biscuit Joconde is so nice when it is done! I will make some without the cream tomorrow, just to see how they taste.
